B/w bust photo by Rubens of Tarrington of Abraham Ribicoff in a suit and tie. Signed "with my respect for a great teacher" as Governor of Connecticut.
Inscribed photograph signed "To Professor Betnard Rubenstein./with my respect for a great teacher./Abe Ribicoff/Governor". Copyright stamped on verso in black ink. B/w, 8x10 overall, 7½x9½ image, one surface, printed on cardstock. Photo by Rubens of Torrington. ©1956 Rubens Studios, Torrington, Connecticut. Ribicoff (1910-1998), Connecticut's Congressman (1949-1953), Governor (1955-1961) and Senator (1963-1981), was also President John F. Kennedy's Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare (1961-1962). Lightly toned, cracked, creased and bowed. Signature has poor adhesion and low contrast but is legible. Errors in negative were reproduced in photo. Otherwise in fine condition.
