In part: "Sadly on Thursday I cannot have you for breakfast; but come between 2:30 and 3:00...." French author and playwright André Gide (1869-1951) received the 1947 Nobel Prize for Literature "for his comprehensive and artistically significant writings, in which human problems and conditions have been presented with a fearless love of truth and keen psychological insight." Lightly creased. Stray ink stains at blank margins. Fine condition.
