Brandeis regrets "that I am so much driven with other matters that I cannot undertake to answer now the questions which you put. Some of them I have attempted to express my views on the past in 'Business - A Profession', published by Small, Maynard & Co., 15 Beacon Street, Boston." Known as "the people's attorney" in Boston, Brandeis was the first Jew appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court, serving from 1916-1939. Creased. Folds, vertical fold touches "a" in Brandeis.
