Ben Hogan types a letter to a fan saying that he no longer has any photographs to send.
Typed Letter Signed: "Ben Hogan". 1p, 7¼x10½. Fort Worth, Texas, 1988 November 11. To Joe Balmer, Dayton, Ohio. In full: " Thank you very much for your letter I am most appreciative. I do not regret to inform you that I no longer have any pictures as my supply of photographs has long been exhausted, but thank you for asking. With all good wishes, I am Sincerely" Ben Hogan (1912-1997) won the U.S. Open in 1948, 1950, 1951, and 1953, the Professional Golfers' Association championship in 1946 and 1948, the Masters in 1951 and 1953 and the British Open in 1953. He is one of only five golfers to win all four Grand Slam titles; Nicklaus, Player, Sarazen and Woods are the other four. Hogan was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974. Lightly creased. Fine condition.
