Typed Letter signed: "Benj. F. Bailar" as Postmaster General, 1 page, 7¼x9½. Washington, D.C., 1978 March 14. On official letterhead to Toni Currin, Dillon, South Carolina. In full: "Thank you very much for your nice letter of February 16, 1978. It was a pleasure to hear from you and receive your kind comment and good wishes on my new situation. Sincerely". Benjamin Bailar (b. 1934), previously an executive of Continental Oil, was US Postmaster General from 1975 to 1978. In 1987, he began ten years of service as Dean of Rice University's new school of business administration. Fine condition.
