Photograph signed: "Carla A. Hills". B/w, 8x10. Carla Anderson Hills served Republican Presidents as Assistant Attorney General (1974-1975), Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (the first woman to hold that Cabinet post, 1975-1977) and U. S. Trade Representative (1989-1993). An advocate of free trade, Hills participated in the controversial Task Force on the Future of North America (2005), which advocated greater integration of the economies of the US, Canada and Mexico. Between her years of government service, Hills ran her own consulting business and served on many corporate boards. Corners lightly worn. Lower left corner creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
