Sepia picture postcard signed by Chief Big Snake.
Picture postcard signed: "Chief Big Snake/88 years old/of Pueblo of Acoma" in pencil on verso. Sepia, 3¼x5¼. The Pueblo of Acoma, also known as "Sky City" for its location atop a 367-foot high sandstone rock, is considered to be the oldest inhabited village in the U.S. Located 60 miles west of Albuquerque, New Mexico, it is known for the thin-walled pottery made by the Acomas. Lightly soiled, lightly creased at upper blank right corner. Framed in the Gallery of History style: 8½x12¾. Display easel included.
