The Nobel Prize winning biochemist signs his name on this First Day Cover honoring Clara Maass.
Philatelic Envelope signed: "Cr De Duve", 6½x3½. First Day Cover "She gave her life", 13-cent Clara Maass She gave her life stamp affixed, postmarked Belleville, New Jersey, August 18, 1976, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. Belgian Christian De Duve (1917-2013) of the Rockefeller Institute, New York, was co-recipient (with Albert Claude and George Palade) of the 1974 Nobel Laureate in Medicine for their discoveries concerning the structural and functional organization of the cell Fine condition.
