COMMERCE and LABOR: FIRSTS. Comprises: (1) GEORGE B. CORTELYOU. First Secretary of Commerce and Labor (1903-04). TLS: "Geo. B. Cortelyou", 1p, 5½x6¾. Washington, D.C., 1904 July 2. To Lucien L. Bonheur, New York City, thanking him for his "words of congratulation" upon leaving office. Light transference of type at left margin. Fine condition. (2) WILLIAM C. REDFIELD. First Secretary of Commerce (1913-19). TLS: "William C. Redfield" as Secretary of Commerce, 1p, 8x5¼. Washington, 1917 February 27. To Charles A. Sulzer, Ketchikan, Alaska, concerning his support of the "Alaska Fish bonding measure". Lightly creased. Folds, vertical fold touches the second "i" in William. Pinhead-size stain at lower blank margin. (3) WILLIAM B. WILSON. First Secretary of Labor (1913-21). Signature: "W.B. Wilson", 5x3 card. Light paper clip impression at upper left edge. Fine condition. Three items.
