The Broadway songwriter informs a husband and wife that he has no recent pictures of himself.
Typed Letter signed: "Cy Coleman", 1 page, 5½x8¾. No place, 1970 December 7. On his personal letterhead, written to "Dear Mr. & Mrs. Colbert", in full: "Sorry for the delay in answering your request, but at this time I have no recent pictures of myself. Thank you for your interest. Sincerely yours," Broadway songwriter Cy Coleman (1929-2004) collaborated with Carolyn Leigh on the music for Witchcraft and Little Me, with Dorothy Field on Sweet Charity, and with Betty Comden and Adolf Green for On the Twentieth Century. He won Tony Awards for Best Score in the same year the shows (City of Angels and The Will Rogers Follies) won for Best Musical. Coleman also composed "Playboy's Theme" for Hugh Hefner. One vertical fold. Slightly creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
