Original color drawing of a duck by cartoonist Don "Duck" Edwing on an index card, signed "MADly yours". He has been a cartoonist for Mad magazine, where he worked on Spy vs. Spy and with Don Martin, since 1961.
Original art signed "MADly/yours/Duck/Edwing". 3x5 card, 1¼x1¼ drawing, one surface. Hand colored black-ink drawing of a duck by Edwing. Longtime Mad fans will probably recognize Don Edwing (1934-2016), by his nom de plume Duck Edwing, often signed with a drawing of a duck. Edwing has been a writer and drawer for Mad since 1961; his work in that magazine includes writing Spy vs. Spy for 12 years and Don Martin's full-page features, as well as his own feature named (what else?) Tales from the Duckside. His cartoons have also appeared in Playboy and somewhat tamer venues like LOOK and The Saturday Evening Post. Normal pencil drafting marks. Lightly toned. Signature and drawing have bled lightly but are legible. Random ink marks. Otherwise, fine condition.
