FREDERICK DENT. First Day Cover signed: "Frederick B. Dent", 6½x3½. FDC honoring the "right of the people peaceably to assemble", two 9-cent stamps affixed, postmarked Milwaukee, Wisconsin, March 5, 1976, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. Dent, CEO of Mayfair Mills of South Carolina, Dent served as Secretary of Commerce under Presidents Nixon and Ford (1973-1975) and as U.S. Trade Representative (1975-1977). He was inducted into the Textile Hall of Fame in 2003. Fine condition.
