Frederick Blackwood sends an autograph letter requesting a corrected copy of a draft.
Autograph Letter Signed: "Dufferin", 1p, 4½x7. No place, no date, "Tuesday". To Collen. In full: "I should like to see a corrected copy of the draft dispatch which I returned to you last night." Frederick Blackwood, son of the 4th Baron Dufferin, was Lord in Waiting to Queen Victoria (1849-1852, 1854-1858), Governor General of Canada (1872-1878), Commissioner in Egypt (1882-1883) and Ambassador at St. Petersburg (1879-1881), Constantinople (1881-1882), Rome (1889-1891) and Paris (1891-1896). Lightly soiled. Fine condition.
