GARNER TED ARMSTRONG. Photograph signed: "Garner Ted Armstrong". B/w with brown hue, 4x5. Garner Ted Armstrong (1930-2003), the son of Worldwide Church of God founder Herbert W. Armstrong, was a televangelist known worldwide for his music, writings and radio and television broadcasts. After the gifted communicator was suspended twice from his father's church for "philandering", he formed a break-away group, The Church of God, International, in Tyler, Texas in 1978. Armstrong, who headed the church until 1995, when he was again charged with immorality, then founded the International Church of God in 1998 and continued broadcasting and publishing books, booklets and articles through his new organization as well as the Garner Ted Armstrong Evangelical Association. Fine condition.
