Photograph signed: "My Best/Tige Andrews/'87". B/w, 8x10. Tige Andrews (1920-2007), born Tiger Androwaous, is best known for his role as Captain Adam Greer on TV's The Mod Squad, for which he was nominated for a 1970 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor. Andrews also appeared as Chief Petty Officer Simpson on Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. (1965, 1969), as Private Gander on The Phil Silvers Show and as Lieutenant John Russo on The Detectives Starring Robert Taylor (1959), and he guest-starred on a number of series, including Gunsmoke, CHiPS, Kojak, Police Woman, Police Story and Murder, She Wrote. Often cast as an amiable bad guy, Andrews appeared in several feature films, including Mister Roberts (1955), The Wings of Eagles (1957) and The Last Tycoon (1976), and in a number of made-for-TV movies, including Skyway to Death (1974) and Raid on Entebbe (1977).
