Baseball card signed "Bobby Cox" in blue ink. Color with b/w photo of Cox, 2½x3½ card. Upper Deck Yankee Signature Series card with Yankees and Major League Baseball logos. ©2003 The Upper Deck Company, LLC. Cox, born Robert Joseph Cox in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1941, was a third baseman with the New York Yankees in 1968 and 1969 and spent some time in the minor leagues and a year on the Yanks' coaching staff before becoming a manager. He managed the Atlanta Braves from 1978-1981, then the Toronto Blue Jays from 1982-1985. After leading the Blue Jays to the AL East title in 1985, he left the team. He rejoined the Braves as manager during the 1990 season, finishing last. The future Hall of Famer has led Atlanta to an incredible 13 first place finishes since then, with four NL pennants (1991, 1992, 1996, 1999) and one World Championship (1995). Fine condition.
