HELEN GRAHAM. ALS: "Helen Graham", 1¼p, 5x8. Mounted to a sheet 14½x8¾. 145 Piccadilly, 1935 March 21. To Colonel Vivian. In part: "I am now desired by the Duchess of York to say that it will give her much pleasure to attend the Gen. Meeting of the S.& S.F.A. at Queen Alexandra's Court, Wimbledon, on Wed. July 3rd which Her Royal Highness hopes will be a convenient date for all concerned." Captioned photo of the Duke and Duchess of York (the future King George VI and his wife, the former Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon) and their children, future Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret, and a printed biography of Graham are affixed to the larger sheet. Graham was National President of Y.W.C.A. of Great Britain, Lady-in-Waiting to Duchess of York (1926) and Woman of the Bedchamber to the Queen (1937-1939). File hole and ¼- and 1-inch paper loss at upper left corner of first page. Ink notes (unknown hand) at left margin of second page of letter and at upper right margin of mounting sheet, which has 3 file holes at right blank edge. Embossed collector's seal at upper left.
