Oscar-nominated actor Eddie Albert signed this contract in 1960 appear in an episode of The Jack Paar Show for $352.
Contract signed "Eddie Albert" four times in blue ink. 4 pages, 8¼x11, 1 sheet folded, front and verso, carbon copy, with two pages of riders and one typed letter to Albert from MCA Artists, Ltd., all bound with 1 staple. April 28, 1960. Albert signed this contract to appear as a panelist on the April 28, 1960 episode of The Jack Paar Show for $352. In 1960, Albert also appeared in episodes of Sunday Showcase and Startime. Best known for his role as city slicker turned farmer Oliver Douglas on TV's Green Acres (1965-1971) with Eva Gabor as his wife, Albert (1908-2005), born Edward Albert Heimberger, had made his movie debut in Brother Rat in 1938; his costars included Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman. Nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 1953 (Roman Holiday) and 1972 (The Heartbreak Kid), Albert's film career included Airport '79, Escape to Witch Mountain, The Longest Yard, Captain Newman, M.D., The Longest Day, The Sun Also Rises, The Teahouse of the August Moon, Oklahoma!, You're in the Navy Now and Hit Parade of 1947. Lightly toned and creased. Staple is rusted. Paper clip impression and rust stains. Light nicks and dents at right edge and in top right corner. Folded twice and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition.
