BOB FELLER
Adirondack Personal Model baseball bat, signed on the barrel with his Hall of Fame year
Baseball Bat signed: "Bob Feller/HOF 62". Adirondack Personal Model baseball bat, signed on the barrel in blue sharpie. Bob Feller (1918-2010) has the most wins of any pitcher in Cleveland Indians history. In 1962 "Rapid Robert" became the first pitcher since charter member Walter Johnson to be elected to the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. Though regarded as the fastest pitcher of his day, he himself attributed his strikeout records to his curve and slider. Feller set a ML record with 208 walks and led the AL in both strikeouts and wins from 1939 to 1941. The first Major Leaguer to volunteer for military service after Pearl Harbor, Feller lost four seasons to the war. He won 25 games in his last pre-war season, and 26 in his first year back, so he might have added another 100 victories to his already impressive career total of 266. He was voted All-Star in 1938-41, 1946-48 and in 1950. Fine condition.
