 Black and white publicity photograph of Herb Alpert playing a trumpet.
 Photograph signed: "Herb Alpert". B/w, 8x10 overall, image 7x7½ (one surface). A&M Records publicity photo. Trumpet player, occasional vocalist (most notably Burt Bacharach's "This Guy's In Love With You", which was a No. 1 hit in 1968) and leader of The Tijuana Brass, Herb Alpert had his first big hit, "The Lonely Bull", in 1962. The Tijuana Brass was the fourth leading album seller of the 1960s, after Elvis, The Beatles and Sinatra. Alpert, the co-founder of A&M Records (1962), has also co-written songs (with Lou Adler) for Sam Cooke (including Cooke's hits, "Wonderful World" and "Only Sixteen"), exhibited his paintings, co-produced Broadway shows and founded the Herb Alpert Foundation, which funds educational, artistic and environmental programs for children. Fine condition.
