ISAAC ASIMOV
Hugo and Nebula-winning science fiction author Isaac Asimov signed this short typed note in 1989 in response to a question about his favorite passage from his books: "All my sentences and passages are equally lovely to my undiscriminating eye.
"
Typed Note signed: "Isaac Asimov", 5½x3½ postcard. No place, 1989 September 25. To William Stanhope, Albuquerque, New Mexico. In full: "Dear Mr. Stanhope: I am answering you only because if I don't, you will think I have not received your letter and you will write again. The fact is that I don't have a favorite passage in my books. All my sentences and passages are equally lovely to my undiscriminating eye." Asimov (1920-1992), a Russian-born American writer and biochemist, wrote over 500 books. His most popular science fiction includes I, Robot (1950), The Foundation Trilogy (1951-1953), the Hugo-winning sequel Foundation's Edge (1982) and the Hugo and Nebula-winning novel The Gods Themselves (1972). Asimov, who also authored a series of mystery novels and many non-fiction works on science while editing his own magazine, wrote over 1,600 essays. Cancellation marks in upper left corner. Otherwise, fine condition.
