Black and white publicity photograph of the 1992 U.S. Solheim cup team.
Photograph signed: "Beth Daniel", "Betsy/King", "Kathy/Whitworth", "Patty Sheehan" and "Danielle/Ammaccapane". B/w, 10x8. Photograph of the 1992 U.S. Solheim Cup team. BETH DANIEL (born in 1956) was U.S. Women's Amateur champion in 1975 and 1977, a member of the U.S. Curtis team (1976, 1978) and on the World Cup team (1978) before joining the LPGA tour in 1979, when she was named Rookie of the Year. The first LPGA player to earn over $700,000 in a single season and the third to reach the $5 million mark in winnings (1996), Daniel has won over 30 tournaments, including the Mazda LPGA Championship in 1990. She was on the Solheim Cup team in 1990 (its inaugural year), 1992, 1994 and 1996. Daniel was inducted into the LPGA Hall of Fame in 2000. BETSY KING (born in 1955) has won 34 tournaments in her LPGA career, including the LPGA Corning Classic (2000), the Mazda LPGA Championship (1992), the U.S. Women's Open (1989, 1980) and the Nabisco Dinah Shore (1987, 1990, 1997). King was inducted into the LPGA Hall of Fame in 1995, the year she became the first LPGA player to break $5 million in career earnings. The two-time LPGA Player of the Year (1984, 1989) was a member of the 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996 and 1998 U.S. Solheim Cup teams. KATHY WHITWORTH (born in 1939), a seven-time LPGA Player of the Year (1966-1969, 1971-1973), set a record of 88 tour wins that remains unsurpassed on both the LPGA and PGA tours. The leading money winner on the LPGA tour eight times, Whitworth was the first LPGA player with earnings of $1 million. She was the Captain of the U.S. Solheim Cup team in 1990 and 1992, although she had to leave the 1992 event early due to a family emergency. Whitworth was inducted into the LPGA Hall of Fame in 1975. PATTY SHEEHAN (born in 1956), who joined the tour in 1980, won the LPGA Championship in 1983, 1984 and 1993, the U.S. Women's Open in 1992 and 1994 and the Nabisco Dinah Shore in 1996. A member of the U.S. Solheim Cup team in 1990, 1992, 1994 and 1996, Sheehan was inducted into the LPGA Hall of Fame in 1993. DANIELLE AMMACCAPANE (born in 1965) joined the tour in 1987, placing in the top 10 in five tournaments as a rookie. The winner of four tour events, Ammaccapane was on the 1992 U.S. Solheim Cup team. Before joining the tour, she won the 1985 Women's NCAA Golf Championship and the 1987 Pac-10 Championship. Defects from original negative have reproduced at lower background. Fine condition.
