The Rolling Stones sign a drumhead.
Drumhead signed: "Mick Jagger", "Love/Keith/Richard", "thanks/Charlie/Watts", "Bill/Wyman", "Cheers/Ronnie Wood" and "Mick Taylor". Remo Ambassador Smooth White 14-inch diameter drumhead. In 1960, former childhood mates MICK JAGGER (vocals and harmonica) and KEITH RICHARDS, also known as KEITH RICHARD, (guitar) rediscovered their friendship and found mutual love for rhythm & blues. Two years later, Jagger and Richard, along with Brian Jones, BILL WYMAN (bass guitar) and CHARLIE WATTS (drums), formed the Rolling Stones. Scoring with hit recordings of cover songs such as the blues standard "Little Red Rooster" (banned during their first American tour in 1964), the "bad boys" of rock began to work out their own riffs. Jagger and Richards soon proved to be one of the most gifted and original songwriting teams in music. Forcing a gutsy, defiant sound across the stage and airwaves to fist-clenched fans, the Stones strutted to such number one hits as "Satisfaction", "Get Off My Cloud" (1965) and, from Aftermath (1966), their first album of all original songs, "Paint It Black" and "Ruby Tuesday". Following the release of their classic rock albums, Beggar's Banquet (1968) and Let It Bleed (1969, the year Jones left the band and was replaced with Mick Taylor), the Rolling Stones were hailed as "The World's Greatest Rock & Roll Band". A series of hot singles, including "Brown Sugar" (1971), "Angie" (1973) and "Miss You" (1978), numerous gold albums, such as Sticky Fingers (1971) and Some Girls (1978), and subsequent live tours fortified the raucous rockers' mighty title. The 1980s opened with routine sensation for the Stones, featuring the celebrated album, Tattoo You (1981), and closed with the smash Steel Wheels album and world tour (1989). Their single, "Satisfaction", was selected by Rolling Stone magazine in 1988 as the greatest rock song of all time. For 30 years, the legendary Rolling Stones (including Ron Wood, who replaced Taylor on guitar) have thrilled live audiences and record buyers alike with controversial and provocative anthems of their era. Fine condition.
