LYNETTE "SQUEAKY" FROMME. ALS: "L. Fromme", 2p, front and verso, 5¾x7½, card that folds in half. [Frt Worth], 2001 October 13. To P.C. In part: "The September 11th attack on NY left me wanting to ponder the world and each of the countries and about how inevitable a one-world life style, economy, military, court and customs actually are - if they are. Since then I've considered many options and realities but found only one enduring thought: What's best for Earth?...What is it about crime that interests you? And is there a book on - let's say all the unsolved crimes of a NY medium-sized city? What goes unsolved? I suppose that would spook people much more than the solved cases...." Written inside and on verso of a note card picturing Raphael's The Sistine Madonna in color. Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme was a follower of convicted murderer Charles Manson. On September 5, 1975, she pointed a pistol at President Ford as he moved through a crowd in a park 100 yards from the California State Capitol in Sacramento. On November 26, 1975, Fromme was found guilty of the attempted assassination of the President and was sentenced to life imprisonment. At the time she wrote this letter, Fromme was at the Carswell Federal Medical Center, Fort Worth, Texas. Fine condition.
