Rangers' star right wing ROD GILBERT was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982. In his 15 full seasons with New York, Gilbert set 20 club scoring records and registered 16 shots on a goal in a single game. GORDIE HOWE, one of the most prolific scorers in the history of the game, starred with the Detroit Red Wings from 1946-1971. The winner of six NHL scoring titles (1951-1954, 1957, 1963) and MVP six times (1952, 1953, 1957, 1958, 1960, 1963), Howe, who trailed only Gretzky in goals and assists, was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972. WAYNE GRETZKY, who has been called hockey's greatest player, had his #99 jersey retired by the NHL in 1999, the year he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. From his HOF tribute, in part: "Wayne Gretzky's 20-year NHL career ended with his name attached to 61 individual records...After 4 Stanley Cups with the Oilers, he was traded to Los Angeles, generating tremendous growth of hockey in the U.S. Playing 1,487 games in four cities, he set career plateaus of 894 goals, 1,963 assists and 2,857 points, while winning 10 Art Ross and 9 Hart Trophies." BOBBY HULL, who joined the Blackhawks as an 18-year-old during the 1957-1958 season, led the Hawks to the Stanley Cup in 1961, his only Cup in 15 seasons with the team. "The Golden Jet", one of hockey's deadliest scorers (610 career NHL goals), was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1983. MAURICE RICHARD, the first player to score 500 goals during his career, had his name on the Stanley Cup eight times during his career with the Montreal Canadiens. "The Rocket", who was named to eight first team All-Star squads and won the Hart Trophy in 1947, was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1961. When he died in 2000, Richard was given a state funeral in Canada. Five items. Presented on a pedestal: 18½x6¼x2¼.
