HUGH OAKELEY ARNOLD-FORSTER
His handwritten sentiment, affixed to a page with a transmittal letter from his aide
Autograph Sentiment signed: "Yours faithfully/H. O. Arnold-Forster/11-2-04", 5x3, Affixed to a 7x9 page which also bears a forwarding letter from F. L. Harris: "Mr. Arnold-Forster has asked me to send you the enclosed." Ink notes (unknown hand) in right and lower margins. Hugh Oakeley Arnold-Forster (1855-1909) served in the House of Commons as a Liberal Unionist from 1892 to 1909. He was Secretary of State for War (1903-1905), serving in the Privy Council. He wrote 14 books, including a History of England. Toned. Edges frayed. Adhesive shown through (lightly effecting signature). Otherwise, fine condition.
