JASCHA HEIFETZ
The master violinist signs a card while in Chicago, Illinois.
Signature: "Jascha Heifetz/March 14, 1920/-Chicago, Ill-", 3½x2¼ card. Jascha Heifetz (1901-1987) is universally regarded as the greatest violinist of the 20th century. After great success as a child prodigy in Europe, Heifetz immigrated to the United States at the age of 16 (1917). He became an even greater artist in his mature years, combining brilliantly reasoned, tranquil interpretation with unsurpassed virtuoso technique. Heifetz arranged a number of works for the violin and commissioned several concertos from contemporary composers. Fine condition.
