The French dancer signs a yellow 5x3 card in black ink.
Signature: "Jean Babilee" in black ink, 5x3 yellow card. French dancer and choreographer Jean Babilee (1923-2014) studied at the Paris Opera Ballet School, but his life was thrown into turmoil during World War II and he fought in the French Resistance during the war. After the war, he continued his career and performed with the Les Ballets de Paris and became a principal dancer with the Ballets des Champs-Elysees. Later he formed his own company Les Ballets Jean Babilee. He also enjoyed a film career and appeared in ten films between 1952 and 1976 including Sweet and Sour (1963) and La ligne d'ombre (1973). Fine condition.
