Signed by his worried-looking image on a cover of Newsweek
Magazine Cover inscribed and signed: "John B. Connally", 8½x11. Newsweek magazine of August 9, 1971. Cover story: "Nixon's No. 2 Man?" John B. Connally, Jr. (1917-1993) was JFK's Secretary of the Navy (1961-1962), Governor of Texas (1963-1969) and Nixon's Secretary of the Treasury (1971-1972). He was wounded by Lee Harvey Oswald in the Kennedy assassination in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963. He sought the Republican Presidential nomination in 1980. Worn and creased. Signature in poor contrast but legible. Corners worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
