LUTHER ADLER
The actor signs his name on a 4¼x3 card in blue ink
Signature: "Luther Adler", 4¼x3 white card signed in blue ink. Actor-director Luther Adler (1903-1984) made his Broadway debut in 1921 and joined The Group Theatre in 1931. In 1946 he directed A Flag is Born that featured newcomer Marlon Brando. His movie career began in 1937 with Lancer Spy-some of the more memorable films are The Desert Fox: The Story of Rommel (1951), The Last Angry Man (1959), Cast a Giant Shadow (1966) and Absence of Malice (1981). In television he made all of the big name theaters-US Steel Hour, GE Theater, Kraft Theater, Play of the Week, DuPont Show of the Month, etc. He was also the guest star on everything from The Twilight Zone to Route 66, 77 Sunset Strip, Mission: Impossible, Hawaii Five-O and The Streets of San Francisco. Once he started, he was never without work. Fine condition.
