LUTHER H. HODGES
Card signed by the U. S. Secretary of Commerce, in blue ink
Signature: "Luther H Hodges/US Secty of Commerce//1961/65" in blue ink. Lead pencil notations in unknown hand and blue ink stains on verso. 3½x2 card. Governor of North Carolina from 1954 to 1961, Hodges (1898-1974) served as Secretary of Commerce under Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Baines Johnson from 1961 to 1965. Signature is lightly smeared in places, but legible. Otherwise, fine condition.
