The New Mexico Congressman signs his name in blue ink
Signature: "Manuel Lujan Jr./N.Mex" in blue ink. 3½x2. Manuel Lujan Jr. (b. 1928) is a retired Republican politician from New Mexico who served in the U.S. House of Representatives (1969-1989) and was the US Secretary of the Interior under President Bush Sr. (1989-1993). He is best remembered for opposing Democratic efforts to halt offshore oil drilling after the Exxon Valdez spill in 1989, for which he faced significant criticism. Toned. Corners rounded. Pencil note (unknown hand) on verso. Holes from staple in upper right corner. Otherwise, fine condition.
