GEORGE BUSH and JUANITA M. KREPS
Both sign a First Day Cover observing the 50th anniversary of the Social Security Act.
First Day Cover signed: "George Bush" and "Juanita M. Kreps", 6½x3½. FDC honoring the 50th anniversary of the Social Security Act, 22-cent stamp affixed, postmarked Baltimore, MD, August 14, 1985, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE. JUANITA KREPS, the first woman and the only economist to serve as Secretary of Commerce (Carter, 1977-1979), was vice president of Duke University and a labor demographics specialist, hence her connection with social security. GEORGE H. W. BUSH was Ronald Reagan's Vice President at the time this stamp was issued. Fine condition.
