President Carter's Labor Secretary inscribed this photo to radio/TV interview host George Sanders
Photograph inscribed and signed: "To George R. Sanders/with best wishes/Ray Marshall". B/w, 8x10. Freddie Ray Marshall (b. 1928), a professor of economics at the University of Texas from 1962, was Secretary of Labor throughout the Carter administration (1977-1981), expanding public service and job training programs. A co-founder of the Economic Policy Institute, he is the author of two books, including Thinking for a Living: Education and the Wealth of Nations (1993). George Sanders, a radio/TV host in Los Angeles and later in Portland, collected autographs from guests on his show. Corners lightly worn and creased. Light surface creases. Fine condition.
