The nephew of the Countess of Salvatierra Antonia Marcela de Acuna y Guzman writes her a letter to inform her about the embarking of the Queen Mariana of Austria, some of her activities with her husband King Philip IV of Spain and also about the good health of the Prince of Asturias Philip Prospero
Autograph Letter Signed: "Aug del Jlucar" in iron gall ink. 12x8½. Two pages. Fully Translated in English:" Madame and aunt of mine. It seems the weather is getting better here because it has not rained today, the sun can be seen sometimes, but the sunset was very cloudy. Our Lady the Queen was here this evening and has embarked in the sea of Ontigola, when Her Majesty returned His Majesty accompanied her in his horse just as yesterday, they have very good health and are all happy to know that the prince is healthy again. I send you my regards. Your nephew and Sir. Aug de Jlucar". Agustin del Jlucar was the nephew of the Countess of Salvatierra, who collaborate very closely with King Philip IV and the rest of his royal family. Signer merits further research. Right margin torn and ragged. Corners lightly worn and creased. Other edges lightly worn and creased. Multiple folds. Light surface creases. Lightly soiled and toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
