The signature of each on separate cards, matted and framed in the Gallery of History style with an unsigned an unsigned cast photo and two metallic plaques to an overall size of 31x23.
Comprises: (1) JAMES ARNESS.
Signature: "Jim/Arness", 4¾x2½. Fine condition. (2) AMANDA BLAKE. Autograph Sentiment Signed: "Regards/Amanda Blake", 4x3. Fine condition. (3) MILBURN STONE. Autograph Note Signed: "To Pearl/Doc/Milburn Stone", 3x3. Stray ink mark at the "P" of Pearl. Fine condition. Framed with Photograph, unsigned, of the cast, including signers Arness, Stone and Blake with Ken Curtis (all in back row) and Burt Reynolds (front). The long-running TV Western, Gunsmoke, aired from 1955-1975. Arness (1923-2011) starred as Marshal Matt Dillon for the entire run of the series (611 episodes). Blake co-starred as Kitty Russell, the hostess of the Long Branch Saloon (and Dillon's love interest) from 1955-1974. Stone played Dr. Galen "Doc" Adams from 1955-1975. Stone and Arness were the only two actors to remain in the cast for the show's entire twenty seasons. Curtis appeared as Festus Hagen from 1959-1975. Reynolds was town blacksmith Quint Asper from 1962-1965. JAMES ARNESS (born James Aurness in 1923), the older brother of actor Peter Graves, is best known for his role as Marshal Dillon. The role was first offered to Arness' friend and mentor, John Wayne, who pushed for Arness being cast in the part. Arness also played Zeb Macahan in the M-G-M TV series, How the West Was Won (1978-1979), and he starred as Jim McClain on McClain's Law (1981-1982). Few of his screen roles were memorable, though one has become an object of cult worship: Arness was cast as the menacingly glowing space alien, described by one character as "an intellectual carrot", in The Thing (1951). AMANDA BLAKE (1929-1989), born Beverly Louise Neill, was nominated for Golden Globes for Best Actress - Drama for her role as "Miss Kitty" in 1969 and 1970 and for the Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe in 1971. Blake, who had been signed by M-G-M in 1949, made her film debut in 1950, the year she was first cast opposite her future Gunsmoke co-star, James Arness, in Stars in My Crown. Her feature film credits also include Sunny Side of the Street (1951), Lili (1953), A Star is Born (1954) and High Society (1955). Blake, who made guest appearances on TV shows from 1952 (Schlitz Playhouse of Stars) to 1983 (Hart to Hart), also starred in several made-for-TV movies, including 1987's Gunsmoke: Return to Dodge, a "reunion" film. MILBURN STONE (1904-1980), a former vaudevillian who made his film debut in 1934 in Burn 'Em Up Barnes, won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Drama (Gunsmoke episode "Baker's Dozen") in 1968, and he was also nominated for a Golden Globe in 1971 for his role as "Doc". Three items. Framed in the Gallery of History style: 31½x23½
