The Japanese-American jazz pianist signs an autograph musical note for the song, "Lazy Day".
Autograph Musical Quotation signed: "Toshiko Akiyoshi", 8¼x3. On printed staves, Akiyoshi has penned bars of music which she has titled: "Lazy Day". A successful jazz pianist, conductor, arranger and composer, Toshiko Akiyoshi (b.1929) incorporates elements of traditional Japanese culture into American-style jazz. Nominated for 14 Grammy Awards, she was the first woman to direct a big band playing her own compositions and arrangements. Binding hole at left edge. Fine condition.
