Index card signed by W. Willard Wirtz. He was Secretary of Labor under Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson.
Signature: "Willard Wirtz". 5x3 card. Wirtz (1912-2010) served as Secretary of Labor under Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson (1962-1969). Favoring collective bargaining rather than government intervention in labor-management disputes, Wirtz also promoted research for identifying labor shortages and led LBJ's "War on Poverty". He also implemented Department of Labor anti-discrimination regulatory responsibilities under the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Lightly toned, otherwise in fine condition.
