The National League won the game 6-0, one of the rare shutouts in the game's history. This was the only All-Star Game in which not a single batter was walked. Starting pitcher JOHN SMOLTZ got the win, as the NL staff allowed the junior circuit only seven hits. The National League would not win another All-Star Game until 2010! MIKE PIAZZA (the game MVP) and KEN CAMINITI homered. This was the 15th and final All-Star appearance by OZZIE SMITH, who retired after the season. Smith and TONY GWYNN have since entered the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, and several signers of this ball are strong candidates for future admission. Lightly worn and toned. Multiple signatures lightly beaded and smudged (all legible). Fine condition.
