felt. JAMES EARL JONES (1931-2024) was originally a stage actor, winning Tonys for
The Great White Hope (1969) and Fences (1987). He was nominated for a Best Actor
Academy Award (1971) for reprising The Great White Hope on film. In 1991, he won
both a Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor Emmy for Gabriel's Fire and Heat Wave,
and in 1999 for Outstanding Performer Children's Special. Jones' sonorous and highly
recognizable voice served both Darth Vader in the original Star Warstrilogy and was
Mufasa in Disney's The Lion King (1994) and has been featured in more than twenty films
and as many commercial announcements such as "This is CNN". In 2001, Jones narrated the
documentary Black Indians: An American Story which explores issues of mixed racial
identity - Jones is of African American, American Indian (Choctaw) and Irish decent. He was
awarded the John F. Kennedy Centre Honor in 2002. One of Hollywood's most popular and
versatile actors, distinguished American leading and supporting actor ROBERT DUVALL
(b.1931) possesses a rare gift for totally immersing himself in his roles. Duvall's other acclaimed
movies include To Kill a Mockingbird (1962), M*A*S*H (1970) and The Godfather I &
II (1972, 1974). After several award nominations, he finally won an Oscar for Best
Actor in Tender Mercies (1983). Having already played Eisenhower (1978-1979) and Stalin
(1992) in TV specials, he portrays Robert E. Lee in the film Gods and Generals (2002). Lightly
