(1897-1974) teamed up with funny-man Lou Costello (1906-1959) in the early 1930s and the
duo became headliners on the vaudeville and Burlesque circuits. In 1938, they started in radio,
and they debuted on Broadway the next year. Their film career began in 1940, but 1941's Buck
Privates established them as one of the greatest comedy teams in the history of show
business. The duo would later star in their own syndicated television show, The Abbott &
Costello Show (1952-1955). Abbott & Costello are also known for their famous "Who's on
First?" routine, which is enshrined in the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Two items. Framed
