Original Menu signed: "Bud Abbott", "Sincerely/Patty Andrews", "Maxene Andrews", "LaVerne Andrews", "Donald O'Connor/Your Pal", "Harriet/Hilliard", "Pat Knowles" "Sincerely/Vernon Dent", "Grace McDonald" and "Best/Andy Tombes", 1 page, 10¼x14, front and verso. Universal City, California, Friday, October 1, 1943. All ten have signed on the blank verso of the Universal Studio Café luncheon menu. Logo of Universal Pictures at top center, U.S. flags at upper left and upper right as it was wartime (WWII). Quote printed at lower portion: "'Time is Short'/President Roosevelt/Avoid Delay-Zone All Mail". Highest priced luncheon item on menu: "Filet Mignon 1.75". Ad for war bonds at lower right. HARRIET HILLIARD married Ozzie Nelson in 1935. They appeared together in the long-running TV sitcom, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. VERNON DENT appeared in over 300 films, including Mack Sennett comedies and countless Three Stooges shorts. Starring in Universal musicals during WWII, DONALD O'CONNOR later costarred in six films with Francis, the Talking Mule, and with Gene Kelly and Debbie Reynolds in Singin' in the Rain. BUD ABBOTT and Lou Costello starred in three 1941 films with PATTY, MAXINE and LaVERNE, the ANDREWS SISTERS. Abbott and Costello also appeared with PAT KNOWLES in two films and with ANDY TOMBES and GRACE McDONALD in It Ain't Hay (1943). B/w newspaper photos of Tombes, Abbott, O'Connor and Knowles affixed at lower margin on verso. Lightly creased. Mid-horizontal fold touches the signatures of Knowles and LaVerne Andrews. Lightly stained, not at signatures. 3 file holes at upper blank edge. Overall, fine condition.
