guy!/Abe Ribicoff". Unknown signature in blue ink on verso. Blue ink
notations at top edge in unknown hand.8x9¾, mounted to a 8x10 sheet of
paper. With a 3½x3¾ b/w photo affixed near bottom right corner. Written on a
photocopy of an address that Ribicoff delivered at the Convocation of the 50th
anniversary of Reed College in Portland, Oregon, Sept. 30, 1961. Ribicoff
(1910-1998), Connecticut's Congressman (1949-1953), Governor
(1955-1961) and Senator (1963-1981), was also President John F.
Kennedy's Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare (1961-1962). Lightly
toned, creased and rippled. Address touches signature. Photocopy marks. Mounting
paper was neatly torn from a notebook or album at right edge. Otherwise in fine
condition.
