Signed letter from the successful literary and talent agent, saying
that her son, writer and producer Budd Schulberg, is not available to sign a
copy of a book at the moment but will do so when he returns. Extremely
rare!

January 4, 1974. New York City, New York. In full: "Dear Mr. Stanhope:
Budd Schulberg is not in New York at present, but if you would like to send your
copy of WHAT MAKES SAMMY RUN to me, I will have him autograph it for you when he
returns. Sincerely". Born Adeline Jaffe, Ad Schulberg (1895-1977) was
a literary and talent agent. The wife of producer and film executive
B. P. Schulberg, the couple moved to Hollywood during it's transformation
into the motion picture capital of the world, where Ad first made connections in
the Hollywood community. Following their divorce in 1933, Schulberg set up
the Ad Schulberg Agency, representing talent like Marlene Dietrich, Frederic
March, and her son, Budd Schulberg, who became a successful screenwriter,
author, and producer. Normal mailing folds. Light surface creases. Corners
