and white picture post card.
Picture post card signed: "Adam Oates", in purple felt tip,
B/w 3½x5½. Playmaking center Adam Oates (b. 1962) played for 7 teams in a
20-year NHL career (1985-2004). Noted for smart passes which allowed his wingers
to score, Oates was second only to Wayne Gretzky in assists for the decade of
the 1990s. He has more career points and assists than any NHL player not in the
Hall of Fame. His frequent movement from team to team, and his unselfish
play (which limited his goals scored) are cited as reasons he is not yet
enshrined in hockey's Hall. Edges and corners slightly worn. Fine
condition.
