Check signed "Adam West". Endorsed in black and blue ink on verso in unknown hand. 6x2¾. Feb. 4, 1981. Check no. 196 for $150, made out to Marcelle West and drawn on the account of Adam West c/o Alexander Tucker at the Beverly Hills main office of Bank of America in Beverly Hills, California. Memo line is illegible. In the year that West signed this check, he appeared in the TV movies Time Warp and Warp Speed. He married Marcelle Lear in 1970; she was his third and, as of this biography, current wife. Adam West (1928-2017), who began acting in 1959, is most famous for his role as the titular superhero in the original Batman (1966-1968). Although the show ran for only 3 seasons, its unique style and comedic tone have made it a fan favorite in a long-running franchise. West attempted to distance himself from the role after the series was cancelled in 1968, but he eventually embraced his typecast role and has voiced the main character and many others in a ton of animated shows and films, including The New Adventures of Batman (1977) and The Batman (2004-2006). He enjoyed a resurgence in popularity when he was cast as the Mayor of Quahog in the adult animated series Family Guy.
