Check signed "Adam West" in blue ink. Endorsed in black ink on verso in unknown hand. 6x2¾. Dec. 26, 1980. Check no. 176 for $30, made out to Jonelle Anderson and drawn on the account of Adam West c/o Alexander Tucker at the Beverly Hills main office of Bank of America in Beverly Hills, California. In the year that West signed this check, he appeared in the movies For the Love of It and The Happy Hooker Goes Hollywood and in an episode of Fantasy Island. Adam West (1928-2017), who began acting in 1959, is most famous for his role as the titular superhero in the original Batman (1966-1968). Although the show ran for only 3 seasons, its unique style and comedic tone have made it a fan favorite in a long-running franchise. West attempted to distance himself from the role after the series was cancelled in 1968, but he eventually embraced his typecast role and has voiced the main character and many others in a ton of animated shows and films, including The New Adventures of Batman (1977) and The Batman (2004-2006). He enjoyed a resurgence in popularity when he was cast as the Mayor of Quahog in the adult animated series Family Guy.
