"I have made enquiries, and if you place yourself in communication with
Captain Bromley, of HMS. 'Courageous' (c/o HP.O., London), he will be delighted
to have the bulldog you so generously offer." Commander of the Mediterranean
fleet (1905-1907) and of the Channel Fleet (1907-1909), 1st Lord Beresford was a
Lord Commissioner of the Admiralty from 1886-1888. He rose to Admiral in 1906.
Beresford was a Conservative Member of Parliament for 20 years between
1874-1916. Lightly creased, folds. Nailhead-size stain at upper right beneath
date. Overall, fine condition.
