Kindly sign & return one to reach me by Saturday morning." Contract not present. On April 6, 1909, Robert E. Peary became the first explorer to reach the North Pole. He was Chairman of the Committee on Aeronautic Maps and Landing places of the AeroClub of America and during WWI served on government aerial defense committees. Lightly creased. Irregular left edge.
