Geraldine Fitzgerald and Larry Gates sign on a Playbill for a production of Ah, Wilderness!
Show bill signed: "Geraldine/Fitzgerald", "Larry Gates", 60 pages, 6x9. Playbill for a production of Ah, Wilderness! at the Circle in the Square Theatre. Born in Dublin, GERALDINE FITZGERALD (1913-2005) went onto the stage and then into films. She was nominated for an Oscar as Best Supporting Actress for Wuthering Heights (1939). Other starring roles included Dark Victory (1939) and Wilson (1944). She aged into distinguished character roles, as in The Pawnbroker (1964), Harry and Tonto (1974) and Arthur (1981). Best known for his role of H.B. Lewis on Guiding Light (1952), LARRY GATES (1915-1996) was an Emmy award winning actor. He had an extensive Broadway career, appearing in 13 Broadway plays, many of which he starred in. However, his time on Broadway is overshadowed by his work on daytime television, which amassed to over 90 titles total, which his role on Guiding Light being the most prominent, though he starred as Herbert Hoover in the mini-series Backstairs At The White House (1979). Toned. Corners lightly worn. Surface creases. Lightly soiled. Ink transfer. Image slightly faded. Otherwise, fine condition.
